Multiplication tables with 8 - exercises to get started
To start with, we divide the puzzle pieces into groups of 8. This way we can say there are so many heaps or groups in total.
This way you can make the task clear to yourself:
Imagine, for example, that all the puzzle pieces are distributed among the pupils in a class. Everyone gets 8 pieces. So we divide the whole set into heaps of 8 pieces.
So now we can start with the task for the multiplication table of 8.
Exercise 1

Exercise 2
An important thing in learning the multiplication tables is the fact that we can always write a number in a multiplication table series as a plus task (sum) or as a multiplication task (later we also call this a product or multiplication).
40 is for example
- 8 +8 + 8 + 8 + 8 (plus task)
or
- 5 times 8 (painting task)
Therefore, we practise this in the introduction to this topic of the 8s series, before further tasks repeat this again and again.
